Seascale Energy was pleased to take part in SIBCON 2026 in Singapore, meeting customers, suppliers, and industry peers from across the marine fuels market.
Co-CEO Peter Grünwaldt joined the panel “Demand vs Supply: Fuel Market Outlook to 2030”, moderated by Clara Ferreira Marques of Bloomberg, alongside Bunker Holding Group and the International Energy Agency. The panel discussed how geopolitics and longer trade routes are changing bunker demand. It also covered the risk of more volatile supply as refining capacity moves to Asia, what the fuel mix could look like in 2030, and who carries the investment risk in the transition.
After the session, Peter spoke to Bloomberg about current conditions in the bunker market where newer shipping lanes and trades are moving bunker demand to different ports, and how Seascale is working to make sure fuel is available where its customers need it.
